Striping

You don't have to be a Paint & Body Technician (but it might help!) to fix minor damage like this ground contact result.

A fine texture sanding sponge-block -- this one from Ace Hardware -- will remove the rough surface of the damaged stripe, and a paper towel splashed with isopropyl alcohol (sold at every grocery store and drug store) are the only tools you need.

Vinyl striping from an auto parts store should cost about $2; be sure that the width is the same as the original striping - I used 5/8 inch. If you are doing a "restoration" you will have to shop for the original colors -- I wasn't, so I chose a simple silver/black stripe.

You'll note that I did not try to straighten the dinged floor pan. Maybe later.
Here's another easy project - Add a Windshield.
